PBYMF Committees
University Outreach:
The role of the University Outreach Committee is to provide professional support for the ASU and NAU chapter. Responsibilities include: actively communicating with students, Attend workshops (resumes, mock interviews, etc), provide info to students on internship opportunities, be available for student questions, invite students to participate in YMF activities, and Take part in any professional/student programs.

Community and Student Outreach:
The role of the Community and Student Outreach Committee is to propose and coordinate volunteer activities. In the past, outreach activities that YMF has participated in have ranged from volunteering at race/charity fundraising events such as Pat’s Run and Kenya Dig It 5K, to physical activities such as Habitat for Humanity, packaging boxes for project cure and many more. In addition to helping the general community, YMF has reached out to Elementary through High School students through programs such as Future Cities, E-Week and E-Day. The information for the proposed activities will need to be given to the Board Member Liaison who will present it to the Board for approval of said activity.

Social Committee:
The Social Committee shall be responsible for planning and coordinating social, networking and teambuilding functions for the ASCE Phoenix Branch Younger Member’s Forum. These activities may include Happy Hours, Sporting Events, Bowling, Top Golf, etc. The Social Committee Chair will meet with the Board Member Liaison to propose potential activities/events. The Liaison will then present these to the Board for approval.

Political Action / Legislation:
The role of the Political Action/Legislation Committee is to inform PBYMF membership on recent political action / legislation activities that relate to the Civil Engineering profession. Responsibilities include: Provide updates on recent political action / legislation at general monthly meetings. Participate in ASCE Key Contact Program and Arrange / Lead Arizona State Congressional Visits.

Technical Tours:
The role of the Technical Tours Committee will be to plan and coordinate technical tours and presentations on current projects, and facilities in operation today.The Technical Tour Committee Chair will meet with the Board Member Liaison to propose potential tours. The Liaison will then present these to the Board for approval.

The Phoenix YMF Foundation uses proceeds from our annual golf tournament and other donations to make a difference in our community.
