THE POSITION
We invite you to join the high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Senior Engineer for the Public Works Department. In this position, you will be responsible for managing multiple priorities of civil engineering, public capital improvement projects and repair and renovations of Town infrastructure.

In this position you will:     
·         Research, recommend, develop and implement policies and procedures for operational effectiveness, sustainability, and safety. Monitor operations for efficient and effective application of department policies, procedures and standards.
 
·         Conduct long-range planning. Recommend revisions to policy, Town codes and ordinances, draft ordinances and resolutions for committee/council action.
 
·         Ensure compliance with proper civil engineering standards, safe working standards and practices.
 
·         Have extensive knowledge of developing Capital Improvement Plans (CIP) and delivery CIP Projects.
 
·         Oversee project management and construction management either directly or through consultants.
 
·         Perform design review of plans and technical reports for CIP Projects for conformance with proper civil engineering standards and to Town standards.
 
Requirements:
·         Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or closely related engineering field with eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, inclusive of two (2) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience. Master’s degree preferred.
 
·         Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including driving record.
 
·         Registration as a Professional Engineer required.
 
·         Advanced engineering knowledge and judgement regarding transportation, water, wastewater, environmental services, municipal facilities and other civil engineering infrastructure concepts, issues, and requirements.
     
Compensation: 

The Town’s complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.

The expected hiring range is $107,411—$117,187.

The full salary range is 107,411—$150,384.
