The Maricopa County Dept of Transportation (MCDOT) is currently seeking engineers who specialize in bridge design and construction. Two (2) positions are available: an Engineering Branch Manager and a Bridge Engineer. The Engineering Branch Manager will plan, direct, and manage the technical activities of the bridge branch while achieving the strategic and tactical goals. Qualifications include: Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and seven (7) years work experience in engineering, project management, or construction, which includes some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Bridge Engineer will perform complex professional engineering work related to bridge design, construction, and infrastructure projects. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and seven (7) years of professional civil engineering work experience. Both positions require registration as a Civil Engineer by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, or by the technical board of another state, with the ability to obtain Arizona Registration within six months of employment.
